Bicycle Maintenance Tips
from Ferris Fast Cycles and the Co-op Fun Zone

• Lubrication is very important! Clean off your bike when it gets muddy or dirty, lubricate it immediately afterwards
• Use car oil, lightly, on the chain, gears and other moving parts.
• Store your bike out of the rain and weather
• Tire tubes are porous, they will lose a bit of air pressure over time, keep them inflated
• If you find rust on your bike, try Brasso or Never Dull for aluminum parts, car polish will shine the painted parts, use polishing compound if needed as well
